Southern Palette is Baton Rouge’s signature food and drink experience, where culinary artistry meets cultural impact. Hosted by the Friends of the LSU Museum of Art, this vibrant festival brings together award-winning regional chefs, mixologists, local flavors, and craft beverages and cocktails to support the arts in a time of shrinking public funding. It’s not just a feast—it’s a fundraiser, spotlighting the South’s most talented chefs while fueling educational programs, exhibitions, and access initiatives at the Museum. Southern Palette isn’t just a festival—it’s a movement, blending food, art, and community into one unforgettable experience. Southern Palate is our platform to share the stories and cultural diversity of Southern culinary artists, celebrate their achievements, and create an enriching and educational experience for our ticket holders.

The purpose of Southern Palette is to exhibit the innovations and work of established and emerging chefs. We treat chefs like artists and present their individual visions for your enjoyment. Chefs are invited to pair selected fine wines and cocktails with their dish, adding another dimension to the guest experience.
